We're Local

Locally owned, locally sourced

We take great pride in being local and we’re proud to be part of this community. The Comox Valley really is the land of plenty, and we feel very fortunate to be able to source the majority of our ingredients within the local region. If we can’t find the products within the Comox Valley, we sometimes venture across the Island and occasionally to the Lower Mainland to find the best quality ingredients for our traditionally baked breads and sweet and savoury artisan treats.

In addition to our popular donuts and made-from-scratch food, we also feature the most popular products from our sister bakery, the Church Street Bakery in Comox. These include their sourdough wood-fired breads and other goodies.

Supporting Local Farmers

We are dedicated to supporting the local community and we use Island-sourced products whenever possible. We do this to create stronger economic flow through the community and also to encourage more local production. Over the years we’ve developed close relationships with the following suppliers:

> Gunter Brothers - they process our locally-sourced meats for almost all of our products
> Tannadice Farms - we work closely with Allan at Tannadice Farms in Courtenay, who grows excellent pork
> Lentelus Farms - Dave Semmelink is a Comox, pastured-pork producer that we frequently use
> Garstin Farms - Brent and Moira Garstin provide us with free-range eggs, local garlic and black garlic, apples, onions, squash and organic garden surplus
> Harmony Acres - Richard Fairbanks in Comox supplies us with free-range chicken, duck and duck eggs, and turkey
> Vancouver Island Grains - provides us with fresh-milled Island grown flours
> Beaver Meadow Farms - Edgar Smith in Comox provides us with organic, grass-fed beef

We believe locally-made food should be sourced with local ingredients. We are confident you will taste the difference!
