The Village Bakery for over 1OO Years!



Our take-out, eat-in bakery has existed in the same location for over 100 years! Stop in for a taste of local history at the historic Cumberland Village Bakery. Our glazed Cumberland donut is world-famous and definitely legendary. In 2004, we rescued the donut made famous by the Auchterlonie family, who operated the bakery through generations here in Cumberland. All of our baked items are made from scratch combining fresh, local ingredients.

We love serving simple, naturally delicious food like our traditional sourdough bread and hand-crafted bakery products.

We’re different. We proudly bake in small batches to ensure quality and freshness. We’re also locally minded, sourcing all our ingredients from the Comox Valley and BC farms and producers. Our meat, eggs, flour, vegetables, garlic, and honey are all sourced locally. Did you know that our sausage rolls, meat pies, and pizza pepperoni are made from farm-raised pork and beef? They are and they’re delicious!
