Our World-Famous Donut

What can you say about a donut that brings people in from far and wide for generations? Quite a lot, actually! Known as the Cumberland donut or more historically, the Auchterlonie donut, you really need to come and try one!

Our yeasted donuts are made in-house, from scratch daily and are produced from carefully selected, high-quality ingredients. They’re fried in locally-rendered shortening, glazed to perfection and produce a wonderful sensation on the taste buds.

We provide a variety of filled and decorated donuts as well as fresh apple fritters. Our cream filled Johnnies are also a best seller and vary with the seasons. Look out for our maple infused, bacon-top donuts that feature our in-house bacon!

Traditional, Hand-made Sourdough Breads

All our breads and buns are naturally leavened with our 20-year old sourdough culture and are made with BC-milled flours. The sourdough culture is fed daily to keep it fresh and lively! Our Multigrain is our best-seller and contains BC honey. Our Rye has a hint of molasses and our Raisin Bread is delicious!

We are also proud to sell wood-fired, sourdough breads baked at our sister bakery in Comox – the Church Street Bakery. There, we use the same starter to produce hand-made, organic breads baked in our brick oven. This is true artisan baking at its finest!
